Pre-Roll Extended Play

Distribute your extended content — and engage viewers everywhere — by leveraging the reach of Tremor Video's standard :15 and :30 second inventory. Viewers watch :15/:30 of your video, with the option to continue to watch the entire video (up to five minutes) — all within the Pre-Roll Extended Play unit. Now, your extended content can run across all publishers in the Tremor Video network without the constraints of :60 ad inventory.

Viewer Experience: Continuous Extended Content Video Execution

  • Extended content video (up to 5 minutes) begins playback.
  • An overlay trigger appears in the top right corner.
  • Rolling over or clicking on the overlay continues the extended content video.
  • If there is no viewer interaction, an end slate appears for the last five seconds of the ad (:30 or :15) with buttons to click to the extended content video or skip to content.
  • A "bug" appears over the video and may contain one interactive feature and one click-out.

Viewer Experience: Teaser and Extended Content Video (Two Video) Execution

  • A :15 or :30 second teaser video begins playback.
  • An overlay trigger appears in the top right corner.
  • Rolling over or clicking on the overlay trigger launches the extended content video.
  • If there is no viewer interaction, an end slate appears for the last five seconds of the ad (:30 or :15) with buttons to click to the extended content video or skip to content.
  • A "bug" appears over the video and may contain one interactive feature and one click-out.

Options

  • Call-to-action messaging on the overlay trigger and end slate is configurable.
  • The bug can be any size, in any location, and appears at any cue point after the viewer has selected to watch the extended content video.
  • One custom click-through URL can be configured for the bug to drive click-through rate. Social share features do not count as custom click-through URLs.

  • Recommended Codecs: H.264 codec for MOVs, deinterlaced or progressive only

    • Teaser Video is paused at 10 seconds for 15-second spots, and at 25 seconds for 30-second spots.

Bug SpecsThe bug can be positioned anywhere on top of the extended content video after the viewer has opted-in. The bug can be animated and can appear by fading in or sliding in. The bug is custom-shaped so it does not cover important sections of the video, and it should not exceed 20% of the video size.
  • Size: Dynamically scales to appropriate percentages, depending on width/height of publisher's player

  • Flash Version: CS3 or higher, AS 3.0
  • Frame Rate: 15-30 FPS
  • Max Animation Duration: 15 seconds

  • Fonts: All used in delivered assets
  • The bug can incorporate a single interactive feature.
